1080 IS A BETTER RESOLUTION NOT JUST FOR GAMES
THE BLUR IS REALLY ANNOYING AND IN THE UK OCCURS IN ALL FREE TO AIR DIGITAL PICTURES IN HIGH SPEED MOVEMENT IF THAT’S PROGRESS GOD HELP US!

1080 P is PREFERRED….But if you REALLY want to stop MOTION BLUR….Get the Sony WAX 3 chassis line…It has 120 Hz Refresh rate which fills in details 4 times FASTER than any other TV out there ! And that’s what makes them blurry…not being able to UPDATE fast enough…

The XBR 4, and some V and S series of models have the "MOTION FLOW" technology in them…that’s what you want to find…Motion Flow in Sony or any Tv with 120 Hz REFRESH Rate…..

not every xbox game can run at 1080i so i would suggest 720p

First off, all games will show SOME motion blur because nothing is perfect. If you go to Circuit City and play the game they have hooked up, you can see for yourself.

Secondly, if you buy a TV that is 720p native, it will also be able to broadcast 1080i. The resolutions on 720p are 1366 x 768 or something in that area. You can either play your games on 720p or 1080i. The same television can do both is what I’m saying.

If you are debating between 720p and 1080p, then yes, you have a choice to make. 1080p has a resolution of 1980 x 1020 (or something close to that) and games, as well as television, will look much better on this television than your standard 720p native.

I have 2 LCD’s, both 720p native — a Polaroid 37" and a Sony Bravia 32". You can not go wrong with a Sony; I ‘ll tell you that. So now all that matters is how much money do you have to spend?

1080p is more expensive. If you are investing in a television for the long run, then I would definitely try to get a 1080p. If you just want something cheap for right this second, then there are vast amounts of 720p televisions flooding the market.
