Plasma still has certain attractions. Serious gamers will appreciate its lack of fast-motion blur, inherent in just about any LCD or LED-LCD set. The picture quality is outstanding. The viewing angle is very wide. And, as you noted, the prices are low.
But plasmas are a lot heavier than equivalent LCD sets, and they draw more electrical power than anything else. The latest LED-LCD sets are desirable for their brilliant picture and energy efficiency.

This is a review of the 42″ Panasonic Viera TC-P42X1 Plasma TV. It’s an awesome 720p display and has ZERO visual lag. The display’s built-in speakers have audio lad, but connecting A/V equipment to external speakers eliminates this problem. So this display is perfect for music games such as beatmaniaIIDX, DanceDanceRevolution, etc. I play two IIDX songs to demonstrate. The timing has not been adjusted at all in the game.
Yes, my voice is deep, but it’s not THAT deep. Cheap camera microphones just do that.

Here we are at Panasonics HDTV technologies of the future. Wow..check this out..This Panasonic Plasma HDTV has a 50 diagonal picture and is only 1/3 of an inch wide. Thats amazing. This is the thinnest HDTV we saw at the show. This 1080P quality is really amazing. Panasonic did not have much detailed info these HDTVs, but the picture quality of these incredibly thin HDTVs speak a thousand words.
