I’d part this TV and make use of any parts inside that are still good. I know the mainboard was fried but i’m sure theres other parts in it that are still good like the speakers for example. and the lenses and dont forget that awesome fresnel Lens in the screen, use that to burn and cook stuff.

    Obviously it was …
Obviously it was broken, thus the whole mentioning of repairs in the beginning?
It would be more cruel to give it to someone who couldn’t afford it in the first place, mostly because you’d have to wind up being mendacious and somehow convincing them that spending twice the amount of money (or more) on repairs is more logical than the money they would have to spend to buy a brand new LCD.
Which I can’t really see happening, unless the recipient isn’t very smart…Oh wait.

He’s actually part right. The truth is, samsung make the screens for Sony LCD’s.

  24. 73scoutII Says:

    I guess that people …
I guess that people do not read the text in the videos that they watch. This tv was not working! It needed $600 worth of outdated parts! We smashed it so that the big particle board box would fit into trash cans & then took the tubes & circuit boards to an E-waste center where it is supposed to go.

If someone has $600 to fix this non-working tv then they have $600 to buy a nice new LCD tv.
