big screen tvs "view 50% option"?

is there any big screen tvs out there like a 42 or 46" tv that has a viewing option to watch the tv at 50% as lets face it we only want to watch movies and matches in big screen and not silly adverts. if we watched adverts all the time and "usual programs" all the time in big screen then when a movie came on it would not have the same "Big screen"effect as we were watching norml tv programs for so long already. any tvs out there that have 50% viewing option and it would save energy …untill that movie comes on

It’s called the ON/OFF switch.

Most tv’s have them and don’t cost extra and allows the viewer to control the amount of time the tv is viewed from a range of .001% all the way up to 100%.

You can use you PIP (picture in picture) and shut one source off ans only watch the smaller pic in pic screen, but that would suck i really don’t see why you want to do this. I have a 57" Sony, been watching it for 4 years and i’ll be damned if i want to shrink my picture, EVER.
